Crate profiler 5
Kustom Arrow 16

check out the behringer v-tone gmx210. 60 w 2x10, 99 preset effects, dual channel with footswitch

oh my god
The amount of fail in the first 2 posts was epic.

BUT HIGHWAYTOHELL HAS COME TO SAVE THE DAY!

What do you mean Hardcore and blues, you mean hardcore punk and blues????
A crate V33 combo could easily handle the blues and the rockabilly, but might struggle the hardcore tones without an overdrive pedal.

HH definitely saves this thread, +1248753 to you sir.

I'd also give the voxs a try, you might like the flexibility they offer. I'd also give the roland microcube a shot if you can try it out.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

You obviously like psychobilly too.

I'd say the valve jr and a digi bad monkey

of course
but not too many ppl know what that is so i just said rockabilly as psychobilly is basically rockabilly guitar sped up a bit with a bit of distortion

I think those crates are junk tbh, go check them out for yourself TS, you might like it. It doesn't have that nice warm clean to it that tube amps should though.

Have you considered a fender superchamp XD?

Fender tubes = psychobilly/rockabilly

nooo

Tube amp for $200 for versatility = fail

I expected you to recommend a cube in which case i'll just jump in and recommend a roland cube 30 !
#16
i got a line6 112 30, it has a celestion 12" and is suprisingly good. Also got the FBV foot controler with 4 presets, volume/wah and tuner for an extra $95. It is powerful enough to monitor if you go thru a PA, and great small practice amp. I found the EQ hard to get used to, it changes the sound very dramaticly compared to other amps but is very versitile with good cleans and super dirty INSANE setting, lots of sustain and bright crisp sound for cheap!
#17
The spiders "insane" setting is all buzz and the rest are like succubus for your tone, trust me don't bother. I had one for about 2 years and got rid of it.

I'm going to stick with my original recommendation.

There's nothing wrong with roland cube's if you're on a budget. they're better than frontmans/spiders/mg's that's for sure

and tbh *EVERYTHING* under $300 will be a pile of shit if you're comparing it to a $xxxx amp.. so you're not exactly helpful
#21
Vypyrs have loads of versatility and because it is SS it will sound good even at low volumes.

The Vypyr is getting points for sound, but I'm hearing lots of reports on failures. I wouldn't get one unless it's local with an extended warranty. Make sure the warranty is for a swap out too.

If I was buying new I think I'd go for one of the low cost Crate tube amps like the V18 or V33.

Depends how your parents are about your playing and loudness. My parents don't really care how loud I play unless they ask me to cut it down a bit and all.

That being said, if you're talking nighttime practice or something, it will probably sound pretty thin and cardboard-like with the volume down that low. A distortion pedal will tighten up your tone.

With the variety of stuff you're looking to play, a tube combo was a great choice. However, if you play hardcore and rock and metal 95% of the time, a SS modeling combo IMO is a better choice.
