Im looking for a semi hollow/archtop guitar, as i would like a guitar which can get nice sustain and because i own just a Squier strat i would like a guitar with humbuckers. I like to play alternative rock, hard-rock and blues & jazz. I play quite a lot of foo fighters and queens of the stone age and ive seen they use semi hollow/archtop guitars a fair few times.

I have a price range of upto £230 (so thats roughly $375 or so)
thanks in advance

You should just sneak an Ibanez Artcore (perhaps an AS73?) or an Epiphone Dot with that. Another £100 would get you a Casino or a Sheraton or if you wanna go jazz a 175 or Joe Pass sig. (Going by Google shopping prices.)
American Deluxe maple board Strat
Hot Rod Deluxe
Fulltone Fulldrive II mosfet

Jeez, an archtop/jazzbox is not what you want for that.
Maybe a semi.

But if you were going to get a true jazzbox at that price I would look at Ibanez's offerings.
I paid a little over 300 for this.
Epiphone Les Paul Studio
Boss Metalzone
Peavey Bandit

^Agreed, you don't want a jazz box. You'd be better off with a regular semi-hollow (it's not a semi-acoustic, btw, I don't even know if there is such a thing, except for the Taylor T5, and electrics with piezo bridges). Something like a Gibson ES-335 or similar.

PinkEdit: I wasn't actually recommending a Gibson in your price range, I just meant that that's the kind of guitar you're looking for. The Ibanez that was recommended in the second post is a good call.
