I have a fender '72 telecaster deluxe reissue.

I want to replace the pickups with some duncans.
I want some good distortion sounds, but also want good clean sounds.
The kind of distortion I want is for a band like dance gavin dance or something on that order.
suggestions?

duncan hot rails or cool rails, i have them both in my strat and i love them, don't know how they'd work in a tele though,

I believe this may be of service to you. It tells you what kind of tone you'll get out of each pickup, and where to put them (neck or bridge).
