I'm relatively new to guitar and don't know what's the tits and what's just lame. I was going to get a tube screamer but I'm not sure which one to go with.

Also what are some other legit pedals? I'd like to get a nice delay pedal too and some others too like wah.

kthx!

I'd also like to add I'm searching for a legit tube amp and so far I'm thinking of going with the Peavey Royal 8

What's your price limit for an amp? What kind of music are you playing?

I'd figure out your amp before you decide on pedals.

Amp > pedals. Usually. Do you gig? Jam? Just practice? Live with parents? Live in an apartment? Help us help you.

I personally think you should go with a Mesa Mark IV for you distorted sounds and a Mesa Lonestar for your clean sounds. You could probably use a nice Eventide rackmount delay and a Dunlop rack Wah.

With an unlimited budget why wouldn't you?

I play both clean and dirty. I love to play heavy but I also like to play crisp clean pieces so I dunno how to answer that question.

So far I play at home and at my friends houses so I can't be too loud and when the folks are sleeping the Royal 8 has a headphone jack. Also my guitar teacher was telling me how the tubes play best at a certain temperature.

I don't necessarily have a fix budget but am more going with best bang for buck.

Be more specific as to which bands. Also, British or American tone?

Good job Captain Asshat. You used the word legit more in your 11 word post than the TS used in an entire opening post.

You give basically no info in this post. We need to have a solid budget (one freaking number you don't want to go over) and a more specific style of playing. Heavy to one person is Van halen and to another is slayer. Specific bands tones that you want to achieve or be similar to would be great also.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Heavy could mean Cannibal Corpse or Frank Sinatra. Some bands you would like to emulate? Seems like you want a small tube amp. Check out a Blackheart LG. Crate V series could work too. The TS808 is pretty good. For delay, check out an MXR carbon Copy
