I have a Cavin 4x12 and it rattles when I scoop. Even with the bass turned a bit down it still rattles. Any suggestions before I decide to take it apart? I don't know where to start because I can't find a seam on it, there are screws but it seems to be all covered with the felt.

I think it's cause it's built with even numbered measurements. Can you find that out?

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

It sounds like you have the same problem I had. Read that thread and it'll give you a better explanation with pics.

FYI- your cabinet isn't made with screws. the front and back panels aren't removable. At least they aren't made to be removed. Mine on the other hand.....well, you see the thread.

Another reason, kids, why not to scoop your mids.

SCOOPED MIDS = SPEAKER CAB BREAKAGE!
