Tongue & Groove, a band from Peterborough, ON.

Nobody outside of Peterborough has heard of them likely, but they blew my mind.

Unfortunately they broke up, and never had any recordings on myspace or anything.

EDIT: Peterborough, Ontario, not UK
signatures are budget.

Excrementory Grindfuckers

Search for 'final grinddown', 'looking for grindcore' and 'stayin alive - playin a grind' on youtube.

It's also a shame that Daft Punk and the Eagles of Death Metal aren't acknowledged as the gods they are on this site.

Death From Above 1979, although they aren't tr00 kvlt because more than 10 people have heard of them, they're pretty obscure for such an awesome band.

Yeah, they're pretty well respected here on UG. Awesome band.

The only band that I can think of is Portugal. The Man. Good times.

doesn't it bother you that all the guitar riffs on the Allegiance album use the same notes just in a different order?

No way, everyone in England's heard of Seasick Steve!

Also, Mr Big did kinda get "a bit" popular back in the day thanks to "To Be With You".
But yeah, they really are the bees knees and one of the best bands I've got on my pc.

No-one's heard of Grim Reaper, Messiah or Bronz. They're all ever so good.

I'm sorry but anything music related almost always belongs in the other forums, this should be obvious to most users on this site.

And almost every thread that doesn't contain a link to a News story has either been done before, or few people care.

Essentially, forums with no purpose can't be too strict without ceasing to exist.

its quite surprising that only a small percentage of people in U.K know 'The Mars Volta' when they are considered gods by anyone who are fan of them.

I wouldn't say that the pit is in any danger of disappearing. The other forums manage to respect the posting rules AND maintain existence. The Pit isn't a forum without a purpose, they'd get rid of it if it was.

I've only found a few people that knew about them, even on Post Rock forums.

Could just have been talking to the wrong people.

I know it isn't in danger of disappearing. But imagine if every thread that was a repeat, that people found boring or that could go somewhere else was deleted....

All I'm getting at is that this isn't a serious violation of any rule, and that there is no point in complaining about it.
