Using both of my electric guitars I've found that my amp is making a quick 'clicking type noise' when the strings are left alone. It's not bothering me that much and it's not there when I'm actually playing.

On both my guitars when I turn the tone knob all the way down the clicking stops. I've tried several leads and it's still there so I've come to the conclusion that it must be the amp.

Any ideas what the problem is and how to get rid of it?

I know I had an amp back in the day....that would pick up a radio station....

perhaps it is some type of outside interference?

it's radio waive interferance, move the amp somewhere else. It's not a problem, all amps do this, especially ones with bargain basement tubes!
