Typically I don't write political stuff, but I feel really strongly about this election so I decided to let my voice be heard. I welcome your opinions. C4C as always.

You say that all they do is point the finger
But I know which one I’d want to point at you
You traded in your “American Dream”
For a trip to Saks Fifth Avenue
Hillary is on our side
Even though you think that you can have her too

1,2,3
The next four years will be
Exactly like the last eight
If you don’t vote today
Believe me
Change is just what we need
Mr. Mccain I’m sorry
But you won’t bring that to me

Apparently we are voting for Bin Laden
But I know that isn’t true
Even if we were, he’d still make
A better president than you
John Mccain AKA
Mr. George W. Bush Part Two

1,2,3
The next four years will be
Exactly like the last eight
If you don’t vote today
Believe me
Change is just what we need
Mr. Mccain I’m sorry
But you won’t bring that to me

Now we all can see
Who the Bush twins really are
At least 90% of the time so far

1,2,3
The next four years will be
Exactly like the last eight
If you don’t vote today
Believe me
Change is just what we need
Mr. Mccain I’m sorry
But you won’t bring that to me

1,2,3
This economy
Might be just fine for you
But it’s not for me
1,2,3
The next four years will be
Exactly like the last eight
If you don’t let your voice be heard today

What are you crying about, Obama is way ahead in the polls?

Also, the economy is not all Bush's fault. The rules for loaning money to under-priveledged people were instated under Clinton.... they just blew up under Bush.

not crying, I know Obama will win, I just had some things that I wanted to address in my typical semi-sarcastic/semi-serious way

hooray, Obama with a democrat controlled filibuster proof senate and democrat controlled house.
No new coal fired plants, no new nuclear plants, no new refineries, no new oil wells, no new natural gas wells, nationalized health care(controlled and screwed up by govt. like everything else they touch), no secret ballots for workers in unionization votes, did I mention no energy independence.

new taxes, more spending, more intrusive govt., more taxes.

and now the dems are talking about screwing around with peoples 401k systems. Paying capital gains taxes on your 401k every year instead of at a reduced rate when you retire. Not giving your employer credits for matching funds so they have no incentive to match funds. forcing employees to pay in an additional 5% to social security on top of the 7% already going to a broke system. Sounds marvelous to me!!

Okay folks, this isn't the right venue for a political discussion.

it doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with the political view of the writer.
the ONLY thing you can comment on is the writing itself.
how well did the authors message come across, what word choices were effective or not, rhythm, flow, etc.

from this point on, any discussion of the political merits will be reported.

lol, politicals are smelly.

I agree.
Either way it was a weak piece. Less bitching and whining, more actual creativeness. Expressing opinions in a song is nice, but don't be so outright.
Also I despise the "1,2,3" in any song. Could be used by my favorite artist and I'll be like
this one is for you.
