So I just got a used Rectoverb 50 combo
Just one problem...
whenever I switch between the modes on channel 2 there's a HUGE
volume difference between the Raw and Vintage modes, which are very quiet, and the Modern mode which is much louder.

The guy I bought it from said that it's normal for rectoverbs,
but I though I'd ask here just to make sure I'm not getting BS'ed

Is it really normal for the amp to have such a huge difference in volume
between the modes?
Could it be that some preamp tubes need to be replaced?
If so, which ones??????

it is normal. annoying yes, but normal. when i tried one out i wasn't expecting it either

shouldn't be too much of a problem though once you get used to it, because you probably won't be flipping the switch when you're playing.
