Should I get Active EMG 81 and 60 or Seymour Duncan blackouts into my JacksonJS30RR?
Or is there something better?

well ive never played an emg 60. but my buddy put a blackout in his esp and i put an emg 81 in my sg and have played both and would definately go with the 81. it such a crisp clean sound especially with some crunchy distorion. but the cleans are amazing as well. after playing my 81 my buddy wants to get rid of his duncan and throw an 81 in there. but also as posted above the amp does have alot to do with the sound your gonna get.

id go with passive pickups i prefer them becasue you dont ahve to destroy your guitar a for a cavaty

i can never understand why people cite that as the reason for not wanting actives. it doesn't take any routing to switch to actives.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.
