I got a few boss pedals and I'm sick of changing the batteries constantly, so lately I've been using a dick smith adapter, which outputs 9V DC and they seems to work fine with it. is it going to cause my pedals any damage by using this?

Uhhh... if it doesn't work it won't hurt them. i tired with some random 9v dc connector once. It just wouldn't click on.

I used a Zoom processor with a NES adapter for a long time.

'Course, that thing's dead now.

Thanks, I thought that would be the case, it's just that boss is fairly insistent that we use their adapter.

BOSS wants you to use their adapter as its another 30 bucks in their pocket. They can be more sensative than other brands to adapters. But most stuff made for guitar pedals will work. Just stay away from the generic walmart wallwarts.
