i just got a line 6 toneport gx today and i was amazed at all the sounds i can get from it. I just have one little problem. If its a recording interface, then why cant i record anything? i have no idea of how to go about recording my guitar.

can anyone help me?

u need a recording program, if ur on pc then audicity is pretty good, easy and FREE. just make the settings so the toneport is the input n play.

well get the program first

then look around the 'file/edit/view etc' for settings there must be a online manual

Go into Audactiy, then click Edit->Preferences then click on the Audio I/O tab. Click on the recording drop down box and then click on either Toneport or ASIO, I forget which one comes up.
Feed your mind.

Hang around the Riffs and Recordings section for a while.

Play a Cort ?

Play with V-Picks ?

it should have Line 6 Toneport GX under Recording/Devices. Just make sure you don't select it under placeback/Device unless thats what u want.
