I just bought a Shure SM58 vocal mic today and I have a problem. I plugged it into my interface (Line 6 Toneport) to record, but I got no sound. I tried goofing around with the interface and recording settings, turned the gain to max and such, still got nothing. I opened up the mic, and saw two wires, one yellow and one green, both disconnected. I'm sure this is the problem. Is there anyway to fix the wires or should I just return the mic to the music store?

tl:dr Shure SM58 has disconnected wires inside, how can I fix it?

If you do return it, dont mention that you opened it up...Sounds like you voided any type of warranty/return policy
a guy told me that the tremolo bar was called the "distortionator"
