I have progressions and improvisations, looking to trade for scales and modes. Mine is in good condition, yours should be to.

i suppose there's a chance
i'm just a litte too shallow to consider
that maybe i've been a little more eager
each day to wake up and take a shower
brush my teeth and smile for the mirror
I have all 5 books. To be quite frank with you about them, there isn't anything different. The progressions and improvisations will benefit you in ways that the scales and modes can not. I am speaking from experience, yeah it's cool to have those scales and modes but really how many are you going to actually learn and be useful? I'm not trying to put a road block or even knock your decision on wanting them but my opinion is that scales and modes can not build songs just solos if you know what you are doing with them. Progressions and Improvisations is by far the best book in the writing aspect and also the soloing windows it provides are near copies of scales and modes. Keep your book!
