1. Topic title typo fail before edit. XP

2. That's so if you, like me, have an acoustic guitar in addition to electric, then if, again, like me, your acoustic has only one strap button, you can tie it behind the nut on the head so you can use it on the acoustic. For electric just take the string out though.

Dear God in heaven ... is what I just saw after facepalming so hard at that. Oh and an elipse only has 3 dots.

Right, so your strap has a leather strap bit, and a string bit?

The leather strap bit goes on the upper strap button, and the string bit goes onto the bottom strap button.

If that's what you mean.

EDIT: Oh, I get you now. Use a really strong knot, you'll find something on the internet telling you how.

there are to ends on straps right. one is like your average strap, the other end however, has a really small hole and has a string going throught it. the hole is to small to go through the strap pot(the silver thing in ur guitars)

1. It's strap buttons, not strap pots.
2. Just take the string out and put it on the strap button on both ends. The string is really just for acoustics in my experience.
3. I don't know what your talking about. All three of my straps have the same size holes on either side.

1. Don't bump post, just hit edit.

2. Yeah, just take the string out and put both ends on the strap buttons.

Frankly I don't think a manufacturer would make a strap that's too small to be used, so until I see a pic of this apparently microscopic hole, I'm not believing it. Nothing personal, it just doesn't make sense.

oh and necrosis, in reference to your sig, blues came before jazz

EDIT: I'm not trying to start a debate about what came first, just reading it made me think of my american popular music class

...okay, if it's how I think it is, just put it on. If it doesn't fit push it on, I've seen it done.

Edit; @ JDizzle; Excellent, I prefer blues over jazz tbh, that makes me smile.

If it has a slit you should be able to jimmy it on, otherwise just tie a tighter knot

ellipsis. Not an oval.

And why don't just cut the hole for christ's sake. It's not like your strap will explode and you can still use the cord.

1. Take cord out of hole.

2. At the top of the hole, make a small vertical cut so it can fit around the strap button. Keep making small adjustments until it fits.

This dudes a troll, and an00b. Bought an acoustic strap(the strings tie around the tuning heads) then bitches everyone out that his "uber-tight knot" isnt working on his electric guitar. Good job TS, you have failed in so many peoples minds. Buy a new strap.
