I'm upgrading my Squier to make it a decent workhorse of a guitar.

It's a Squier Affinity Strat. I play stuff like Biffy, Less Than Jake and RHCP. What would you recommend?

seriously man i wouldn't bother trying to make that guitar good, its fine for just playing around on, but tbh its never gonna be great
You would be spending about a hundred and 50 on pick ups if u wanted it at all good, so you should just save and by a decent fender, about 350£ christmas coming and all, just save, u will regret trying to upgrade a squier....

bUT if u reli reli keen i would say semour duncan hot rods. i think thats the name,. i put they reli good, act like a humbucker in the size of a single coil,
and then try another semour duncan for the bridge , but go single coil
U might not need to replace the middle pick up, but duno... its all pretty shit

Just dont upgrade it !! just save for something good

1 - make sure you have a decent amp first, no point spending money on pickups otherwise

2 - www.rockmonkeyguitars.com
