How can I easily, and cheap, connect me guitar to my computer to record stuff?

I have a BC Rich Beast connected to a DOD FX57 Hardrock Distortion pedal and my amp is a 30W Samick (http://www.staffhorst.nl/img/SamickAG10D.jpg)

Can someone please tell me?
Btw, I'm a noob when it comes down to that stuff...

Of course you get a cable, how else would you connect it? Magically with pixie dust?

You could buy a usb interface like line6 POD studio ux2, Lexicon Omega and so on. They are pretty cheap and sound pretty good too.

You'll need and adapter to take a mono 1/4" jack into a 1/8" jack
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

a normal guitar cable and an adapter. one end of the lead in the guitar and the other side into the adapter which goes into the pc

guitar----------->lead--------------->adapter-------->pc

Run the phones out of the amp to the line in on your stock sound card
if you dont like how it turns out get an audio interface for around $200, PreSonus makes the Inspire 1394 with firewire connection which many members here have been buying.

also see Tweaks Guide in my sig

Lastly have this moved to R&R

You need a 3.5mm - 3.5mm stereo cable. Like the kind you'd connect an iPod to your car stereo with. You'll also need one of those adaptors that turns one end into a 1/4". They come with most headphones.
These go to eleven...

^that'll sound awful. Running a 1/4" inch cable into a 1/8" jack is like putting 10 pounds of sugar into a 5 pound bag.

get a audio interface. I run the Lexicon Omega, 2 in 2 out, and use a cheapo Shure 40$ Dynamic Mic infront of my amp, and if im just recording guitar I use Reaper, which is another 40$. But with this setup you can record an entire band.

I don't see the point in buying an interface to record an amp that probably costs less than the actual interface.
