I've just bought a Les Paul without pups and I have a pair of humbuckers that I think would be great for that bluesy rocksound.

But here's the thing:
My pups are cream-colored, and I don't think that they would look nice on a black les paul custom.

So can I just buy a set of humbuckercovers and attach them to the pups? Or will I have to do something more than just solder them to the pups?

Btw, here's the guitar:

Empty tankard! Empty Tankard!
Cream pickups would look fine in that guitar.

Maybe, I will try it out before I go and buy covers.

Yes you can as long as you know how to...

I know how to do it. But I thought that I would have to wax-pott 'em first... maybe I should?
