I'm sure it's been asked hundreds of times, but i could do with some help.

I've got hold of Guitar Rig 3, as well as recording software (Cubase & Kristal), and here's where the problems start.

My chain of equipment would look like this:

Guitar > Boss ME20 > Computer mic socket (via a 1/4 to 1/8 inch adaptor.)

Would this be recognised by Guitar Rig? Or work as an input for recording?

Sorry, i'm very new to this...

Thanks in advance UG!

Well, haven't you tried it? It should work, are you using Guitar Rig as a plugin within Cubase?

EDIT: It should be the computer line in though, not the computer mic in.

Total noob alert, I haven't put it into practise yet, and i dont really know how the two programs work together (if at all) annoyingly though, my laptop only seems to have a headphone socket and a microphone socket.

I think the real question is would ME20 --> Computer be recognised by G.Rig?

Guitar Rig won't be specifically recognising the Boss ME20. It would just know there was a line in signal entering the soundcard.

Could I get some more talent in the monitors, please?
