I just bought a set of Kerry King EMG's They were on cleareance at Guitar Center for $117. Does anyone know if these are any different from the Zakk Wylde set. They are both EMG 81 and 85's, but the King set comes with a boost switch. If I didn't use the boost swtich would there be any real differences? Any help would be appreciated.

An 81 is an 81, all the Kerry King set has is a PA2 boost switch and a different box.

nope.

the boost switch really just amplifies the signal.

I'd put it in, i think it'd be sweet to go from standard distortion to TEH BROOTALZ.

I would probably even label the switch.
