so i've been playing for about 5 years or so, but i'm not very knowledgable about amps and such.

i recently bought a randall halfstack (RH150G3Plus) cause my band's going to be gigging soon.

the problem is that whenever i play a power chord and then quickly mute it with my fretting or picking hand it always makes this annoyin squeel right after that is very annoying. i've tried turning up my noise gate but it takes away from other guitar parts that i play.

this is mainly a problem for "space truckin" because im doing the intro and it sounds horrible when you go "da da *squeek* da da da *squeek* daaaa daaaa da da *squeek*

thx in advance

if you are standing right next to your amp that might be the problem

If by "clean" you mean "get a finger right up in there and do a good bit of spelunking" then i guess "at any given opportunity" is my answer.

Could be, it sounds like feedback. Try using the gain channel on your amp instead of the rp, the rp isn't a very good pedal, the amp should have a better gain channel than the RP.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

First, I'd read through the announcement sticky at the top, then maybe the everything you wanted to know about tubes thread.

Then I'd give this one a look:
