My amp that I have been using is sorta dying, so I plugged my guitar into a 70W GK Bass amp, and it sounded pretty good I think. I know that playing a bass through a GUITAR amp will damage it, but will guitar through a bass amp do the same?
I've been told that if I use a compressor pedal it won't damage it or anything

Also, a question for powertab- I play a tab, and get no sound. help?

Guitar into bass amp is fine, it's the other way around that's dangerous.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

You mean bass in guitar amp?

But no, a guitar won't damage a bass amp.

And I can't tell you what to do about powertab. All you told me is that it doesn't play a sound.

Yeah, I meant bass in guitar amp.

I can see the notes in powertab lighting up when i press play, but no sound comes out, that's all there really is to explain

I got this problem and got tired of Power Tab. Thats when I got Tux Guitar! It rules! It can play Power Tab and Guitar Pro files! On top of that, it's free!

Alot of famous guitarists plugged into bass amps.

Amps that are famous for their amazing guitar usability include the holy grail, the original 50s fender bassman, and the Marshall JTM45 and super-bass. look how they turned out!

oh yeah, don't forget Brian Setzer (and others) used a fender bassman.
