So, first off, i apologize if this has been covered already,
but im not quite sure what i should search,
but, to the point,
how exactly would i rewire my (1 master vol, 1 master tone)
Jackson JS30DKT to have just 1 master control?
I have EMG 81/85, if that matters.

Thanks in advance!

u have to get rid of either the vol or tone, or use a concentric pot (one pot with two knobs)

you just take the wires off...
What will you do with the hole in the guitar from the old pot?

what i want to know is why would anybody take the tone pot out of their guitar? it makes the guitar so much less usable, IMO. i rarely use my tone pots, but when i do, its because i need to. if i didnt have them, i'd be ****ed.

I don't see how this is a good idea at all. Couldn't you just, like, not use it? Why would you rather have a hole in your guitar than an option for tone-shaping, and why would you actually work to achieve that state?

People take out tone pots because it helps brighten up the guitar's output. In the 80's especially, many guitars were made with only one volume control and no tone pot at all, and on top of that some people even took out the volume pot as well.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.
