Sun & Moon

Drums were made with Acoustica BeatCraft
Bass was made with a guitar using Boss ME-50 1 octave lower function
Mixing was made with Audacity

And finally, recording was made with a 5$ mic! (I assure you I will try and get a better mic soon!)

Leave me some crits, I'll c4c, thanks!

Enjoy!

EDIT: I hope to get my Audio interface in like 2-3 weeks so I'll re-record it way better quality And even redo the drums on another drum machine maybe.

I can let you guys know if you want!

Thanks for the awesome crits too.

I like it, but you really should separate the guitars in the mix more by panning and post eq, not by making one louder than the other. The lead, while good, made it impossible to hear everything else behind it. Also, I think a little delay on the lead would give it some depth. And a bit less gain on the rhythms for some chunk. All in all, good tune dude.

BTW, a $5 mic can sound pretty good. Hell, all the tunes in my profile were done with a little crappy logitech mic if you care to check them out.

Thanks for the tips mogar.

I added delay on the lead, equalized everything a bit and did some panning and it does sound better! It is now re-uploaded.

And you have awesome tunes, love your tone and what pickups do you have on your ESP?

An SD-SH 10 in the bridge and the stock duncan designed HB-102 in the neck.

Wow man, this was good. I liked the tones for the leads, although they did seem to hog the mix at points to where it was all you could hear. The rhythm guitar seemed to be pushed out a lot of the time... But other than that it was great. Loved the riff, and your leads are definitely impressive. keep it up, and thanks for the crit on my page!

cool song man, the riffs sound simple effective. if you had a more agressive tone it would compliment them even better. some very nice leads around the place, but i sort of expected to hear that with satriani/gilbert/vai and such in the top friends :P i think the ending of the song needs some shape, rather than just sort of "stop". but besides that i enjoyed it man, nice job!

Haha, you crit mine just as I was uploading my edited version, and just as I was listening to yours. For a cheap recording it sounded awesome. I liked the lead tone, but of course it will all sound better if you get a better mic. The bass also sounded good for just being a tone shifted guitar. Drums were well done too. The song itself is really good, and as you already know, it will sound better with better recording gear.

Thanks guys!

And yeah, ohoh.. I just re-listened better to the song and the cymbals ARE incredibly loud Oh well. I hope to get my Audio interface in like 2-3 weeks so I'll re-record it way better quality And even redo the drums on another drum machine maybe
