Hi there,

so, I know quite a lot of people have probably asked this but I'm looking for a decent amp as I only have a cheesy yamaha amp.

I play hard rock and metal and would want something no more expensive than 400 GBP (about $800 I think). At least small gig volume, about 50 watts minimum.

Preferably NOT a Line 6 Spider!

Thanks

thanks for them, ill look into them, also I'm not too bothered about tubes or SS, its just my friend has a 120w spider III and it's just a terrible screechy sound.

I use a Spider Valve single 12 and love it for metal, high gain stuff. It's tight and punchy.
Line 6 SpiderValve 112 - Strymon SV Pre; G12-K100
Ibanez RG Custom Built - Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz
Line 6 M13

try bugera 333/6262/6260(mostly gain stuff but good crunch/cleans) or a rg50tc(metal) or classic 30( hard rock/ good foundation for pedals)

theyr all tube

Yngwedit Are the Vypyr tube series even out yet?
