What's the best amp I could get for that price? One that fits my Ibanez RGR320EX.

EDIT: I haven't bought the guitar either but I might buy it along with the amp. Do guys know of a better guitar I could get for about the same price too?

Hummm... what kinda styles? You are probably gonna wanna save up for a nicer amp though, not something in 8 months you're regretting.

*EDIT*

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/electric_guitars/ibanez/rgr320ex/index.html That's for some info on your guitar. Sounds like the bridge has problems... but read for yourself. Can you try it out first?

I also just saw a post someone saw a Crate V18 for $150... I'll look into it.

Yeah its just that this is the only money i'm gonna get for a long time. I just want an amp to jam at my house for now. I'll upgrade whenever i get more money. I play mostly metal.

maybe craigslist holds the answear.
Id have to say pass on the Crate for metal.

Ok here's a 50w 1x12 tube Crate amp. People here tend to recommend this + an over drive pedal (if you need it for the extra distortion). 50w is a LOT of power out of a tube amp though, that may almost be too much...

That is a 18w 2x12 amplifier. All tube. Same deal as above though you'll need a distortion/overdrive pedal for that extra bit. If I remember correctly it handles classic rock pretty well...

*EDIT*
Another good point. I'd check CraigsList, sometimes you can find some good deals there, sometimes it's just junk being pushed by people who made mistakes... they didn't come to UG first and ask lol.

I live in California. The south part. And the closest guitar center is like 3 hours away and with the gas prices it seems like i'd be spending my guitar money if i made a trip there.

I live in Southern California. Unless you're like San Diego area... gas prices here are cheaper than they've been in awhile. But I digress... those amps should be pretty good with the bit of info you gave.

I live like 3 hours from San Diego. I'll check those amps out. i might have to stretch my money a little but it sounds like it'll work for now.

Yeah those amps get pretty high recommendation rates around here. I have no experience with them, so I'd definitely check them out first...
