I don't recommend passive pickups for any kind of blues tone. Ideally, you'd want a passive pickup with a reasonably low level of output.

I've gotta vote on the Ibanez, I like the look more. Really, though, they both look like good guitars.

It all depends on the sound...you'll have to play them instead of just look at them. Cosmetics don't mean a lot in the world of guitar playing.
#4
their both nice but ibanez
just play both for ages till you find the one you like more

The Ibanez Has a faster neck, and the pickups are a little more better, considering that I've tried both guitars before.

What do you mean by 'faster'?

both are ugly IMO.

try them out, I like the Ibanez alot more though, Deans tend to suck in quality

The neck is thinner and feels more comfortable.

Stuff in bold is opinion. I hate Ibanez necks, so you can't really say their comfortable properly without an "IMO".

Anyway, I don't like either tbh. Go for one of he special edition Epiphone EMG SG's if your looking at those two.

Isn't that, like, twice as expensive? I vote Ibanez. I've been pleased with my Ibanez, but it's an Artcore -- I mention it by way of saying they make nice stuff.

Oh, I remember seeing a white one with EMGs in a catalog for like four hundo, about two months ago. I'm pretty sure they stopped making those, though. The only SG Epiphone makes with EMGs at the moment is a 24-fret thing called http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-SG-CustomEX-with-EMG-8185-Pickups-Electric-Guitar?sku=515622 the SG Prophecy EX, which is in fact twice the cost of the Ibanez this guy wants to buy used. They both seem kind of out of the price range, though.
