This, but without the dumbass. I'm a nice guy... Not everybody is though, apparently.

There's an "M" and "S" button on every track in GP. The "M" button mutes that track, the "S" button makes that track the only one you hear (S is for "solo").

EDIT: sry, your question was about PowerTab? I misread, thought you said Guitar Pro... But I'm sure it works similarly.

I used to just delete the guitar parts but im sure theres an easier way than that.

go to yur guitar part and click on the tab part beneath the guitar symbol then click on the Gtr In button until that symbol disappears from your score

click on the little "Guitar Setup" icons and set the volume to off on all guitars

though I think it doesn't work if the dynamics of the song change between
