not worth it. work on getting a new amp before you get pedals.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.
#5
doesn't the line 6 have like every effect thats on the 250, other than modulation ones obviously?
and effects generally sound like shit on modelling amps.
#6
You have an amp full of effects so what would be the need for a pedal full of the same effects. And you will find that spider amps and most pedals dont do so welltogether. If your gonna keep the spider get one of the FBV pedals so you can get more use out of your existing effects. A better amp wouldnt hurt but as you havent been playing to long dont need a bunch of equipment yet. Also you dont get much in the way of multiFX for that kind of money. Figure out what effects you will use alot and buy the individual stomp boxes.

Not that it doesn't already

Seriously, just save for a new amp... especially if "money's not a problem."

Toss your spider off of a bridge into a lake with a cinderblock tied to it, then, buy a peavey vypyr

Here's what you should do:

1) Don't buy the Digitech. Save the money.
2) Sell the Spider. Save the money.
3) Buy a valve amp.

That will sound like ten bees in a broken tic tac box humping a piece of dirty tin foil. Save that money toward a better amp

It will sound good for about 2 days, and then you'll wonder why you bought it. Just invest in a better amp and get a nice multi effects unit down the line
#15
you have a line 6 spider.. nothing can save you now.. except a new amp..

get a nice 212 combo
Mesa Single Rectifier
Marshall 1960A vintage
Rg3exfm1 w/ EMG 85/81
Big Baby Taylor Acoustic
Ibanez TS808

the line 6 spider is more of a bedroom practice amp, it has built in effects so you dont need pedals.

If you really want to improve your sound, buy a tube amp. Maybe a Peavey Valveking?

^Aah, don't forget that the 20w cube desn't have the COSM modelling that makes the cube series good. I would go for a 30x or a microcube because the tone will be better.

It does actually. It just doesn't have the vintage amp modules that a metal player wouldn't need. I stand by it for a bedroom metal mostly practice amp.

I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

No, I mean the models aren't the same. The R-fier setting on the cube 30 sounds quite cool (for a modeller), while metal stack sounds like ass.

Too loud for what?

I don't think he specified budget or use, so how can it be too loud?
