I just got a quite good S neck from a broken S470 and got an offer for a RG4EX1 body. Problem is that I don't know if they will match or not.

Also, from what I know that RG body should be able to retro fit a OFR without problem. Still need someone to confirm this for me.

Please help!

Ask for the specifications on bolt location, neck pocket size, etc.

If it does fit, the only thing I would be worried about is scale length and intonation. But, provided that the scale lengths of both the RG and the S470 are 25.5'', it may just work.

the S would be a 22 fret neck though wouldn't it? I assume the RG is meant for a 24 fret neck. They are the same scale size so there would either be a gap between the back of the neck pocket and the back of the neck (2 fret gap), or the bolts just wouldn't line up.

^ Ahh... Oh yeah. I though the body was made for 22 frets. Looks like I have to get a S body after all.

are you sure the necks don't have a fretboard overhang? That could eliminate the neck pocket problem.

you'll definately need the s body, i tried that once. fortunately i found a fixed bridge body later on that i could move back about a half inch to compensate for the fret difference. as for the ofr retrofit, if it's the original edge bridge/lo pro, it will. others (TRS/edge ii/edge iii/etc) will not retrofit an ofr
