im thinking of buying the roland cube 15x online for a home practice amp..
i owned a line 6 spider III and i sold it cause i moved to uni... and the store at my unis town only has sum laneys and line 6...

Thing is i dont want the line 6.. and i read really good reviews about the cube... should i give it a shot? even if i have tried it through my guitar..?

Youtube it, that helps sometimes.

But you really have to play an amp to see if it's for you.

well, imo, not really for a hundred dollar amp. ^

but in this case i'd probably get a micro cube. dosent it have more features?

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

This.

It's not a ton of money, plus it's a great amp.
And the microcube will be better for you. unless you want to go up to 30 watts

well buying pedals, doesnt make a ton of sense, unless you know what amp you plan on upgrading to.

see the 15x is sort of a bad option.

that's why their original 15 never sold.

when a player wanted to jam in his bedroom, the micro was perfect.

then when jamming with another, the 30w did the job.

with a full band, you'd probably move up to a tube amp.

the 15W isnt enough to jam wt anyone and has less to offer over the micro. it's a white elephant, and why the 15 is still cheaper than the mirco.

anyway, get what you want.

No

They are terrible

^+1 pretty bad.

with the cube 15x you can quietly jam with one guy playing guitar,
but like said, the cube 30 is way better suited for such things.

Uhh.. The MicroCube is great for bedroom practicing, but it's worthless for jamming, unless they have a pocket amp or something.

What's you budget?

Fender Jazz Bass 'Crafted in Japan'
Yamaha Acoustic Guitar
Vox AD30VT w/ VFS2
Roland Cube 30 Bass

until he buys the pedals, he'll only have clean/od.

vj is a nice amp, just not very versatile.
