Hello all. I thought that the Floyd's were made by the Schaller company but then I see that Schaller offers a Floyd trem under the Schaller name? Is this the same trem? Seems that the Schaller version is about $10 less . . .

Floyd Rose was originally its own company. It's now owned by Fender.
Pretty much any locking tremelo unit is a copy of the Floyd.

schaller make both the schaller floyd rose and the original, there are some minor differences.. both are decent though

Thanks guys. Which is more preferred these days - the original floyd, schaller version, or the gotoh version?

Wait until he's trying the fullstack, then shove it from behind. Crushing him with it's overdrive

You can't tune a LP copies down. Some kind of lawsuit Gibson won. Sorry.

i think it depends on preference to be honest...

also, some OFRs are being made in korea now too. i have no idea if they're as good as the schaller ones...
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
