classic rock band that had an impact on music.

i like bands like yngwie, motley crue, guns n roses...all that sort of stuff. I need something to kinda show me off as it's for my final major project in music (obviously) next year but nothing insane like yngwie but then nothing easy. iv been playing almost 7 years if it helps...although i should be better

ill be playing around 6 or 7 of the bands songs so the choice has to be good!

thanks in advance

I can play Malmsteen and I've only been playing for two years.

Edit: I just realized that looks much too boastful. I apoligize(sp?).

i can play his stuff, but the fills and that are just over the top for what i need. i'd rather succeed and get a good grade than muck up in front of my girl and friends and fail.

EDIT: Thank you. But it's not that i can't play his stuff, i can. Might not be very well haha, but i can play a few tunes of his. But i should be better than i am im anoyed at that.

Possibly some Chuck Berry?

Maybe not 'classic rock', but I'm trying to think of something influential that no-one's said yet.

Well you can teach a monkey to play an instrument. Looking at the tabs and working through it over a long period of time is one thing...you can do that with any song. But being able to look up a Yngwie song (or better yet, learn it by ear), be able to get the song down in a reasonable amount of time (an hour maybe?), understand the theory behind it, and really master it to the point where you can comfortably and fluently improvise along with it is another thing...if you can do that, kudos.

Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple are my suggestions
