Not sure if this is in the right category, but I think I am going to buy a new computer soon. The big choice now is 32 bit v 64 bit.

My main question, will protools 7.4 work with 64 bit?

Not sure on that, but 64 bit is a pain in the ass. Lots of stuff won't work with it. I'd stick with 32 bit utill the rest of the industry embraces 64.

pro-tools doesn't support 64bit. neither now with version 7x or in version 8 which is to be realeased in the near future.

I've asked one of their developers about why they don't go with 64-bits support but havn't gotten an answer yet. I'll post it here if and when I do.
