Anything you can play well. It really doesn't matter.

I did Through the Never by 'Tallica.

I did some unacompanied jazz piece. It was grade 6 or something, I practiced and practiced. It got to the day of performance, and I failed. So i threw my guitar at my amp, and stormed out. I got in alot of trouble, didn't even get a grade, and damaged my guitar.

So play anything, except a solo jazz piece.

WRONG.

The only reason it exists is because drugs get people fucked up, and people love getting fucked up.

Dragonforce.

HA!

On a serious note, I'd do something really jazzy, but that's just me.
Do you feel warm within your cage?

you are marked on how well and accurate you play, on a small and pathetic amount of marks are for difficulty.

I got 100% in my performance pieces and an A* in music overall, i played two grade 3 pieces from rockschool, other people in my class did higher grade stuff and came out with lower so if i were you i'd stick with grade 3.

You`re so gonna play Hysteria...

Just play something you can play really well. Remember, better to play an easy song well than a hard one mediocre/poorly

Don't play something easy just to get by. Challenge yourself, impress the judges.

Arpeggios from Hell.

For my GCSE solo, I did Farewell Ballad by Zakk Wylde and my overall GCSE grade was a B, despite the fact I spent the lessons doing little to no work.

I can't quite remember. There was definitely marks for: emotion and how well I played it but I can't remember the rest, I'll get back to you when I find out.

Sounds cool. We have nothing like that in the US as far as I know.

I am going to fail my Music GCSE, I haven't done any performances apart from a crappy Muse one in Year 10 which I got a C or B in.
And we have to relate at least one performance to Britpop or Musicals...:/
