is there any way to improve guitar sound by adding a resistor to a guitar that only has a volume control?if so how?and what improvement would it make?any info would be helpful

When you couple it with a capacitor, it will act as a filter, sending the highs to ground.

Keep in mind a 500K ohm pot gives 500K ohms of resistance when it's maxed... I think.

Correct me if I'm wrong but a 500K resistor will give it like a totally low tone, right?

Maybe I'm just crazy.
