Well, obviously every school in the UK has. Or at least will at some point.
Sig space available, give me some praise

They're offering it to all girls 12-13 and 17-18 first.
Then they do all the ages inbetween.
I had mine a few weeks ago, and I have the 2 booster jabs later on in the year.

It doesn't protect against all strains of HPV, but for something that decreases the risk of me developing cervical cancer I don't care about the little prick and the achey arm afterwards.

Extra 10 minutes out of lessons?!

Bitches
Some people wait a lifetime, some simply accept...

...Some restore the blood flow, some just let it go and bleed...

...Some of us obsess, some move on to something new

You have no idea how sick I am of that joke. All of the guys in my maths class have started using it. I've given up speaking, except to tell them to shut up.

Our government decided to scrap giving it our, because apparently cervical cancer won;t affect women during a recession

Is a jab what we call a shot in the US?

If you were speaking the American dialect, you'd be talking about punching teenaged girls to protect them from cervical cancer.

If we were talking "American" English we would be tlaking about hard liquer. Not a bad thing admittedly :P

I feel that this would be more effective XD

The jab/shot is encouraged here, but not required. I don't think I know anyone who's had it.

the girls in my school already had it. I want it! It stops genital warts in men. I don't have them, but it could be useful. Also, males can cause cervical cancer in women via sex, so if the girl and the boy haven't had the injection then it can get passed on.

That's what I thought. I'd become a doctor and move to England if it meant I was allowed to punch teenage girls all day.

It's odd that they aren't giving males the vaccine. You could call that sexism.

I'm a bit too old for the vaccine.

I don't know much about it though, is it just not effective in people over 18 or something? Or do they just think under 18s are more likely to be shagging around?

It's best to have it before you're sexually active I believe. Or at least before you've had the time to shag around xD

I didn't really read the leaflet. My friend was shitting herself over the side effects, I saw the words 'cancer vaccine' and signed the form.

i had read that you have to be sexually active to get this HPV, though, don't you? if that's the case, why do schools make it mandatory for girls to have the vaccine?

Oops misread that xD
But yeah, its so you're protected when you do become sexualy active. A vaccine prevents, it does not cure.

Because they will eventually be sexually active.

Gah, I missed this by 2 years.

Yay all women over the ages of 18 have more chances of getting cancer...
