I've been wanting to record the stuff I've written on my computer. I have the equipment to do so. I need to choose a program right now to record on however. Can anyone recommend a certain software? I'm a broke college kid, so I need it to be free.

Thanks, guys.
My Rig:
Schecter 006 Diamond Series (Discontinued) Flat Black
Jackson JS30RR Metallic Blue
Line 6 Spider II 210
Boss TU-2
Sennheiser E835-S

Current Top 3:

The Faceless

if your using a pc in the accessories section( where paint ad things like that are) thers a recorder so if you hook up a mic and put it in front of ur amp's speaker or acoustic's sound hole you can record it. But thers no editing and the quality isn't great.

Audacity is the easiest free sofware to use.

There is also one called Reaper, which is technically $50 but you can get it for free from their site anyway. You'll have to have your wits about you to sue this one though, it's far more complex and takes more getting used to.
