what are the advantages and disadvantages between a Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Ebony Neck and a LP Standard 60s Rosewood Neck?

the ebony one is about 200 bucks more but are there tonal differences?

any thoughts?

I'm always too embarrassed to buy condoms. Saran wrap is cheaper, anyway.

If I remember my woods correctly...

Ebony is a much stronger wood. It might not make your fingers tire out as much as rosewood, and it's smoother, making for faster playing. I don't think ebony builds up gunk as quickly as rosewood, either.

Tonal differences, though, tend to be very small. Ebony may sound a little darker and crisper than rosewood, if your ears are that keen.
