I've just started a band, and I'm looking for ideas on what I can do on guitar. What are some good acoustic rock songs, in the style of Mr Big's To Be With You and (cliche) Extreme's more than words in order to give me ideas?

Thanks.

An acoustic version of that intriques me.

Not sure if they would count as "rock", but Coil and Hours Of Wealth by Opeth. They're amazing.

Rick Astley has performed it live with an acoustic guitar... I'm afraid to post it, though

I think you need to stop caring what people think about it. I stayed home all day today and masturbated like 5 times. Fucking blast.

no offence, but metallica cant play acoustic songs very well. one is decent....
free bird isnt an acoustic song really. its just strumming g, d/f#, em, f,c d over and over again.... then f, c and d a few times. then the breakdown... g, a# and c.. then kick ass solo.
frampton is a good idea... show me the way is good too. or just play do you feel like we do on the acoustic.

Heh, i did this a while ago as well.

Try out something odd like...I Touch Myself by The Divinyls
and then go for something a little more normal. Like My Hero by The Foo Fighters.
Easy enough songs to play and fun too
DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING

CAREFUL NOW
