i'm planning on upgrading to a rack amp set-up, i've got everything that goes into the set-up, just the whole connecting everything confuses me.

how do you connect everything in the rack together into one signal and then into your cab?

what's the deal with wet and dry channels?

I believe dry is just guitar to amp, while a "wet" rig has delays, wahs, etc in the chain.

Wet is the modified signal, and dry is the bypassed signal.

okay.

i'm going to need a detailed explanation on how racks are connected.
i'm planning on getting a used pod xt pro and a rocktron power-amp and a vader 2x12, explain to me how all of it gets connected. what cables go where, etc.

you are going to plug your guitar into the XT pro then there will be a cable to go from that into the Rocktron power amp from that it will go to the cab.

Well I'd say since you one have one cab, id send a the mono out from the pod to the first channel of the power amp.

If you ever got two cabs, id run the right out from the pod to channel one and left to channel two. So you could have a stereo rig.

I'm not familiar with rocktrons stuff, but if the poweramp is fairly clean then it'll sound like a really loud pod.
