Hi, I'm looking into buying an epiphone prohecy futura fx. It seems like it will be a good buy, but one issue I have with it: the original floyd rose tremolo on it is flush mount instead of floating. I would love a floating bridge, so I'm wondering, could i have a pro repairman hollow out the wood underneath the bridge in order to make it floating? Mind you I would only trust someone who deffinately knows exactly what they are doing.

It would probably be costly. You might as well just buy a better guitar if you have the cash.
