Make a multiple stencil.

The first (bottom) layer, gives you the outline of the crossed swords in base colour.
The second one, flips over that and aligns, so that you can do just the larger details, maybe a line down the centre of each blade, wrap around the handle etc.
Then perhaps a third one for finer details.

The idea, is that each one is perfectly aligned with the next.

Make 3 copies of the design you want, then cut out the sections that you want of each one, working from the large base detail, to the top fine detail.

Post a picture of your guitar and I'll draw up a few designs if you want. Just tell me where you want the swords, and maybe what kind of swords. I can turn it into a stencil for you, too, if you don't mind doing some X-Acto work. (I can't, you know, cut it and THEN email it to you)

I personally favour Japanese Swords (I am related to a Samurai, no I'm not Japanese and neither was he, go figure!).

Crossed with a helmet above the two, a la skull and cross bones.

Yummy...

Ignore the islands - 3 minutes in the photo editor...

what sort of swords were you thinking?

edit: I see you're asking how to stencil it cleanly - I would scuff sand the entire guitar, use a temporary adhesive for the stencil, allow it to dry, then clear coat.

We can't pick out your design for you - it's subjective.

Instead of telling us, why not pick out an image and try it yourself?

Google images returned this for medieval sword:

Mirror that in your photo editor and take brightness to 0 and you get this:
