This is such a ****in n00b question but do you need a head to plug your X3 line into your cab???

nop. plug your amp wire to outpot of your x3 and another wire to input and the other end to your guitar.

edit: **** I read you had a combo, oh well

Your kidding right? A POD will not power a cab. you need a head, combo, PA or something with a power section.

Thats just a cab, you also need some sort of power supplier to the cab like scott58 suggested. Get a PA if u don't wanna buy a combo or amp, etc.
