I don't even think you know what you're talking about.
PAFs: Classic 50s Gibby 'buckers.
P90s: Classic Gibby single coils.

PAF: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humbucker
P90: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P-90

And as you can see, those P90s have 6 magnets. Not 12.
Unless you meant Dimarzio Humbucking P90 replacement pickups, which aren't great.

Not great if you're looking for a true humbucker tone, physics simply won't allow a full tone like a humbucker in a small space like that.

But if you're looking for a slightly fuller single coil, there's a perfect pickup.

Don't like them, really. A slightly fuller single coil is a real P90 or if you must, a strat sized 'bucker I.E. hot rails.

p-94's have two rows of pole pieces though

Tru dat. So, is TS looking for the P-94 or a P-90 with 12 poles? Is it another case of not knowing what something is called or trying one's best to describe it?

actually I may have made a mistake, concerning p-94's. But I just checked the dimarzio site and out of the 7 soapbar pickups they make, only 1 has a single line of pole pieces. So for TS: there's at least 6 p-90 style pickups with 12 pole pieces.
