Hai guyz

So, I have had this strong desire to play my old Pokemon Red version but, alas, I have lost it and my Gameboy as well

I have heard about an emulator of some sort that you can download, though, does anyone know anything about this?

And, most importantly, will it give me viruses? I really don't want viruses

That'd be illegal boy-o

But there is a website that has that sort of thing, and it won't give you viruses. Best to scan before use though.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

more pleasing....
but downloading the emu is less lame then carrying your gameboy around, plus it won't take up any physical room, only on your computer

Emulators aren't illegal.

Aren't they legal if you already own the console or something?

I can't remember exactly. It's all a haze. I should go to bed.

I'm pretty the only thing that is illegal in some situations are roms. Emulators are just fine.

I could be wrong though.
#25
^Yes, emulators are fine, but you're only supposed to download the roms if you own the real game, which I'm sure everyone does, being law-abiding citizens and whatnot
#26
emulators are completly legal. you are even aloud to own roms for 24hours for demo purposes. funny how a lot of you noobs are saying theyre illegal

It's not illegal if you own the game. Download Visual Boy Advance, that is the "Gameboy Advance program." Then the game is called a "ROM." Search "Download Pokemon Red ROM" in google, and find download sites. Romhustler.com is a good one, but there are tons. It will have a weird name, for example I just downloaded Blue and it was called "Pokemon Blue (UA) [!].gb". But those weird titles are normal. Just scan everything you download. Though many have had to get rid of their downloads since a large anti-piracy update from a stupid government agency a couple of years ago, some old-school ones like old Pokemon games are still widely available on the web.
