Was just wondering, is this a very reliable bridge? I've heard that some Ibanez "Floyd Rose" bridges tend to die out. Is this true, if so how can I fix it if it does? An OFR wouldn't fit in the cavity and I wouldn't trust myself with power tools to my guitar.

Thanks.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

yes of course it be retarted to make one that die in 6 months after about a year to a year and a half is when problems start thats why i still recomend them to people looking for a lower range guitar that will eventually get it replaced in like a year

It'll die in a couple of years maximum, Matt. the original Edge and Edge Lo-Pro last decades (dmometalguitar on youtube has an Ibanez Roadstar with a 22-year old original edge, still works fine).

edge and lo-pro are the best, i have a '89 edge and its just awesome. The Edge 3s suck because of the weak metals used for the trem.

yep, edge III. Don't worry, it can be swapped for a better bridge later (I think the Original Floyd Rose Fits)
