i just got a bass pedal, i played it for a little bit and it worked fine. i came back to it after a while and it stopped working. the light is on saying it is on, but it doesnt make noise. BTW it's a Boss OBD-3.

have you tried it with a different lead? Might as well start with the cheapest fix first and hope its that

make sure you plugged your bass into the INPUT and the output goes to your AMP

i've made this mistake a lot.. and it's really annoying but it's the first thing i always check

EDIT: and different "Lead" is a different "cable"

just different words for the same thing

yeh try a different lead, or even power supply? that lead might be broke or if you use batteries they might be dead.

otherwise tried turning the volume on the pedal up? may sound obvious but ive done it before, turned the volume down for a on/off effect pedal and then the next day forgot i did it.

Probably some kind of chord issues, or its broken

i have the cables plugged in right, as for the cable i don't have an extra one. could there be anything else possibly wrong with it?

EDIT: I just got it brand new, straight out of the box and treated it well

You got a brand new battery in there, or one that came with it? Sometimes, there'll be enough power to light the LED, but not enough to make the damn thing work.

its the one that came with it so i guess it may just be out of batteries.

EDIT: i just tried using both my cables directly connected to the amp, one of them doesnt work. Problem solved.

thanks

If there's something wrong with a pedal, batteries are ALWAYS the first things you should check. A lot of Boss pedals drain power like a girlfriend drains your bank account.

EDIT: But it now looks like you're shelling out for a new cable
