Domiel is right. hold your guitar up at eye level looking at a side view. as you look along the neck you should see a slight curve so that the nut end is sitting higher than the joint. It's adjusted via the truss rod, but I recommend you take it to a tech for set-up if you dont know what your doing as you will screw up the intonation of your axe.

Maybe the neck is curved. Look down it and see if they're all in line. If not, get the trus rod out and adjust it.

i would take it to a tech for sure. screwing around it with truss rod is kind of big deal

fret the low E first fret, at the same time,
fret the low E last fret, where the neck and body meet.

with both places held, look at the middle frets 7-9th.

if the string lays on the wire there, you dont have enough bend.
if the string is more than a credit cards thickness up from the wire there, you have too much.

start with a balanced bridge, if this is a trem guitar.

measure and repost.

doesnt even matter, because by pressing the first and last, you take the bridge and nut out of the equation. the measurement is isolated to the neck and how much it bends.

i believe you, but it's important to measure, so you get an idea of where you start.

and then go from there.

so dont eyeball the neck, fret the strings. look at the relief, and maybe we can identify the problem.

could be one high fret throwing the whole thing off.

has exact measurements for neck relief, nut height, and bridge height (action)
neck relief should be first adjust ment, as it effects all other adjustments.

if you want, you can turn the truss rod 1/4 turn counter clockwise.

that's a very small amount. leave the guitar in tune while it settles. and dont turn the rod any more today.

remeasure and see if that helps.

you are in the middle, but some guitars need a little more bend than others.
