I have been listening to way to much Motion City Soundtrack as of lately. So what I have been writing is a lot more poppy, also depressing.
That being said, I present you fine people with:

Mosaic
I sleep through my weekends now
Because everyday life has turned into a soliloquy
I play with the idea of starting to drink,
Starting to drink heavily, and perhaps
Lacing my poison with ammonia
But no, that is not me

Classroom to classroom
I try numerous routes
Back roads through dense woods
Trying to find the one she is on,
But she is elusive

A mild case of the forget-me-nots,
Contracted by a homeless bee, pollinating
The land I once tried to conquer
I toy with the idea of a self induced coma
A presence of me and only me
Solipsistic dream-world,
If only

So I lay my glasses on the floor, if I can’t see her, why see anything?
And I curb stomp my dreams away

Classroom to classroom
I try numerous routes
Back roads through dense woods
Trying to find the one she is on,
I found her, but the motion blur hides me
In a mosaic
this one is for you.

I loved this very much. The only thing i was to crash hot on was "Now, not so much". Actually, that whole "Roman Empire" part. How many times have people talked about Roman Empires? This would be better if you found a different metaphor I think. Everything else is brilliant. The repeated stanza made me think this might be a song, but I couldn't hear it sung in my head.
